United Parcel Service Q2 Results Beat Projections

Shares of United Parcel Service reported early Thursday Q2 earnings of $1.58 per diluted share compared $1.43 a year ago, beating the $1.47 average estimate from analysts polled by Capital IQ. Total revenue rose to to $15.75 billion from $14.63 billion a year ago, coming in above the $15.49 billion consensus.

The company said adjusted diluted EPS is expected to be between $5.80 and $6.10, which includes about $400 million, or $0.30 per share, of pre-tax currency headwinds and straddles the Street’s forecast of $5.96.
