European ADRs Climb Higher

American depository receipts of European stocks were 0.07% higher at 126.71 on the Bank of New York Mellon Europe ADR Index on Thursday morning. Gainers in Continental Europe were led by Oasmia Pharmaceutical (OASM), a Sweden-based pharmaceutical company, up by 3.1%, followed by Trivago (TRV), an online hotel search platform operator, 2.4% higher and Criteo (CRTO), up by 1.5%. Telecom Italia (TI), an Italian telecommunications company, was also 1.5% higher.

In the UK, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) was 1.9% higher, followed by Amec Foster Wheeler (AMFW), a global engineering conglomerate, up by 1.7% and Smith & Nephew (SNN), a medical devices business, 1.5% higher. CRH (CRH), a building materials company, was up by 1.4%.

Decliners in Continental Europe were led by Credit Suisse (CS), a Swiss financial services company, 3.0% lower, followed by oil and gas production company Statoil (STO), down by 1.8% and Novo Nordisk (NVO), a Danish healthcare company, 1.4% lower.
